D.C. officials and community leaders celebrate the largest community solar canopy in the District at the Children’s National Research & Innovation Campus

The District’s major photo voltaic cover was unveiled on the grounds of the Children’s Nationwide Investigate & Innovation Campus (RIC), found on the previous Walter Reed Military Health care Centre campus. Various representatives from District authorities and the small business local community participated in a ribbon-slicing ceremony to celebrate the installation, which is aspect of the District’s Photo voltaic for All application. The cover will present much more than 325 earnings-qualified households with clean, renewable electricity and electricity monthly bill price savings above the subsequent 15 decades.
At the event, District of Columbia Department of Electricity & Surroundings (DOEE) Director Tommy Wells introduced New Columbia Photo voltaic and Children’s Nationwide Clinic are 2021 District Sustainability Award co-recipients for the execution of this venture, which will be identified alongside other award recipients on April 28.
