The mother of a child who complained he would not cease crying and was about to “eliminate it” a day just before he was allegedly murdered by her boyfriend denies punching and shaking him vigorously.
Her previous associate Jie William Smith 31, is accused of murdering the six-month-previous little one who went into cardiac arrest early on February 9, 2019 in New Lambton in Newcastle.
Smith pleaded guilty to manslaughter accepting he should have sought medical aid previously, but the Crown turned down this.
