The Detroit News’ Kayle Ruble, author of the latest story “How a stun gun incident at Abbott’s Michigan plant led to a nationwide newborn formula recall,” suggests Abbott’s plant had lax basic safety procedures and weakened or malfunctioning products.
Inquiries continue being as to whether or not regulatory companies had know-how of the plant’s ailments before contaminated formulation was dispersed.
Abbott Nutrition’s facility in Sturgis, MI generates specialty toddler formulation. When their solutions ended up recalled, it designed a lack in specialty formulas that led to nationwide panic acquiring.
