New Sermon Notes: Pastor Joseph Prince taught us about the creative power in the imaginations of our heart. God’s word shows that out of our heart flows the forces of life. Guard your heart above all else!

Remind yourself that you are the righteousness of God in Christ.
Our sins are not just covered—they have been removed. There is still sin IN our flesh, but God does not see sin ON us.
Atonement just means a covering. Jesus is the Lamb of God who took away the sins of the world.
Israel changed gods and started to offer their sons to Molech instead of the sin offering of the lamb to the true God. When Israel did this, they were brought into Babylonian captivity. After Israel came back from Babylon, they never went back to idolatry.
People have this bad trait of wanting things they cannot have and discrediting what they do have. This is of the flesh.
Proverbs 4:20-23 – Firstly, God’s word enters the ear gate. It also enters the eye gate. These gates are what allows entry into your heart.
In all your guarding, guard your heart as the most important thing. Let God’s word enter your heart and it will be health to all your flesh.
The “heart” here spoken of is “lev” in Hebrew, not “ruach” which is spirit. Your heart is not your spirit.
“My son, attend to my words. Turn your ear to my sayings. Let them not depart from your eyes. Keep them in the center of your heart. For they are life to those who find them, and health to their whole body. Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it is the wellspring of life.” (Proverbs 4:20-23 WEB)
Genesis 6:5 – The word “imagination” here is “yeser” in Hebrew. The imaginations in one’s heart will eventually manifest in the outside.
“Yahweh saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of man’s heart was continually only evil.” (Genesis 6:5 WEB)
Being saved in Christ is like being inside Noah’s ark. Even if you fall, you fall safely within the Ark. There is security in Christ.
The Lord said to Noah, “come into the Ark.” After that, He said, “Go outside the Ark.” This is the mark of a leader—first one in and last one out.

Meditate on the word pictures in God’s word. Let them enter your heart
Ephesians 1:17-18 – King Solomon is still the richest man that ever lived, considering inflation and all that. Solomon asked God for wisdom and a hearing heart.
The eyes of your heart is referring to seeing in your imagination. With God, imagination is creative—not just an inconsequential thing.
Jesus said when a man looks at a woman to lust, he is already committing the sin of adultery.
“that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him; having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope of his calling, and what are the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,” (Ephesians 1:17-18 WEB)
Genesis 2:7 – The word “formed” here is also “yeser” in Hebrew. Imagination is creative.
“Yahweh God formed man from the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.” (Genesis 2:7 WEB)
When you pray, be alert to the pictures that come up in your imagination (heart). The Holy Spirit speaks through pictures.
The Bible is full of pictures that we can meditate on. God’s word says that we are like trees planted by the streams of water. We are not just wild plants—we are lovingly planted by the Lord.
Genesis 3:6-7 – The devil through the serpent painted a picture for Eve in her imagination.
When man sinned, he forfeited the glory of God. Adam and Eve were once clothed with the glory of God.
God wanted their spiritual eyes to be opened through the tree of life (a picture of Christ), not by the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
“When the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was to be desired to make one wise, she took some of its fruit, and ate; and she gave some to her husband with her, and he ate it, too. Their eyes were opened, and they both knew that they were naked. They sewed fig leaves together, and made coverings for themselves.” (Genesis 3:6-7 WEB)
Genesis 13:14-18 – God meant for Abraham to see himself walking through the whole land in his imagination—not walking physically.
“Yahweh said to Abram, after Lot was separated from him, “Now, lift up your eyes, and look from the place where you are, northward and southward and eastward and westward, for all the land which you see, I will give to you, and to your offspring forever. I will make your offspring as the dust of the earth, so that if a man can count the dust of the earth, then your offspring may also be counted. Arise, walk through the land in its length and in its width; for I will give it to you.” Abram moved his tent, and came and lived by the oaks of Mamre, which are in Hebron, and built an altar there to Yahweh.” (Genesis 13:14-18 WEB)
Psalm 144:12-15 – See your children as these pictures. You will enjoy prosperity from the Lord. Meditate on these word-pictures in Scripture. Use your imagination to see yourself possessing what God promises in His word.
“Then our sons will be like well-nurtured plants, our daughters like pillars carved to adorn a palace. Our barns are full, filled with all kinds of provision. Our sheep produce thousands and ten thousands in our fields. Our oxen will pull heavy loads. There is no breaking in, and no going away, and no outcry in our streets. Happy are the people who are in such a situation. Happy are the people whose God is Yahweh.” (Psalms 144:12-15 WEB)
